Introduction
Video Intelligence MCP ("we", "us", or "our") operates https://vimcp.info and the Video Intelligence MCP remote endpoint (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and retain information when you visit our website, join the early-access waitlist, or use the MCP API.
This policy applies to the website and hosted Service. It does not cover third-party websites, video platforms, or MCP clients you choose to connect. If you have questions, contact us at support@vimcp.info.
Information we collect
We collect information in three main areas: waitlist sign-ups, website analytics, and MCP usage.
- Waitlist: email address, role, MCP clients you use, expected request volume, use case description, company name (optional), selected plan, UTM parameters, referrer URL, page URL, and submission timestamp.
- Website analytics: page views, approximate location, device and browser type, session duration, and referral source via Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- MCP usage: video URLs you submit, tool names and parameters, authentication token metadata (not full secrets), request and response logs, IP address, and timestamps.
- Communications: information you send when contacting support, including email content and attachments.
How we use information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- Operating the waitlist and managing early-access invitations.
- Providing, maintaining, and improving the MCP Service, including caching, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.
- Processing billing and usage metering when paid plans launch.
- Detecting abuse, enforcing acceptable use, and protecting the Service and its users.
- Understanding product usage and improving features through aggregated analytics.
- Communicating with you about access, updates, security notices, and support requests.
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests.
Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Consent — for example, when you submit the waitlist form or accept optional cookies where required.
- Contract — to provide the Service you request or prepare access under early-access terms.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and operate the Service, prevent abuse, and understand usage, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on our website. GA4 may set cookies or use similar technologies to collect usage data. Analytics help us understand traffic sources, page performance, and general audience characteristics.
You can limit analytics collection through your browser settings, privacy extensions, or Google's opt-out tools. We do not use analytics data to identify individual MCP API users on the website unless you also submit identifying information through a form.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, analytics (Google), waitlist automation (n8n), and future payment processing (Stripe). These providers process data on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
- Professional advisors or authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
Data retention
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
You may request earlier deletion where applicable. See Your rights below.
- Waitlist data: until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or after 24 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
- MCP request logs and related metadata: typically 30 to 90 days, unless a longer period is needed for security investigation, billing dispute, or legal compliance.
- Analytics data: according to Google Analytics default retention settings configured for our property.
- Support correspondence: as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain a reasonable record.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include access controls, encryption in transit where supported, and monitoring for abuse.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
No model training
Transcripts and subtitle text obtained through your MCP requests are not used to train Video Intelligence MCP models or other machine learning models operated by us.
We may use aggregated, de-identified usage statistics to improve reliability, performance, and product design without using your content to train models.
International transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than where you are located. Those countries may have different data protection laws.
When we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards required by applicable law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
To exercise these rights, contact us at support@vimcp.info. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
- Access — request a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Objection — object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — request a copy of certain information in a structured, commonly used format where applicable.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable law requires a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@vimcp.info and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
Your continued use of the website or Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
