Agreement and early access
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Video Intelligence MCP ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of https://vimcp.info, the Video Intelligence MCP remote endpoint, and related early-access programs (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is offered in beta and early-access form. Features, pricing, rate limits, and availability may change or be discontinued at any time with or without notice. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Service description
Video Intelligence MCP provides remote MCP tools that retrieve subtitle text and metadata from publicly accessible video URLs on supported platforms.
The Service returns text and metadata only. It does not deliver video or audio files to clients and is not intended for end-user media download. Underlying extraction may use open-source tools such as yt-dlp.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
We may refuse or revoke access at our discretion, including for eligibility concerns or violations of these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit URLs for content that is not publicly accessible, or attempt to bypass DRM, paywalls, authentication, or geographic restrictions.
- Violate the terms of service, robots rules, or policies of any video platform or content provider.
- Engage in scraping, crawling, or automated access that exceeds reasonable API usage, circumvents rate limits, or degrades the Service for others.
- Process, transmit, or analyze unlawful, infringing, harmful, harassing, or malicious content.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization, or interfere with Service operation or security.
- Misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, or use the Service for fraud or unauthorized commercial resale without our written consent.
Your content and responsibility
You are solely responsible for the video URLs you submit, how you use outputs, and compliance with applicable law and third-party rights.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to request and use transcripts and metadata for your intended purpose. We do not review your use cases and do not guarantee that any particular use is lawful.
Intellectual property
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, including software, branding, documentation, and MCP tool schemas. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.
Subtitle text and metadata originate from third-party platforms and rights holders. We do not claim ownership of that content. You receive no license from us to redistribute platform content beyond what you are lawfully permitted to do under applicable law and platform terms.
Copyright and complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content accessed through the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at support@vimcp.info with sufficient detail to identify the work, the URL(s) involved, and your contact information.
We may remove or restrict access to disputed content, suspend accounts of repeat infringers, and cooperate with rights holders as appropriate. We are not obligated to mediate disputes between users and rights holders.
API access and security
Access to the MCP endpoint may require authentication (such as OAuth or bearer tokens when enabled). You must keep credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity under your account or tokens.
We may impose rate limits, usage quotas, and technical restrictions to protect the Service. You must not share, sell, or expose credentials in public repositories or client-side code.
Plans, billing, and refunds
We may offer free, indie, and other usage-based plans. Billing, when enabled, may count specific MCP tool calls (such as get_transcript and get_raw_subtitles) against your plan limits.
Paid plans may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We may change pricing with notice on the website or by email where practicable.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that transcripts or metadata will be accurate, complete, or available for every URL; that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; or that third-party platforms will remain accessible or compatible.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service, your submitted URLs or outputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a security or legal risk, failed to pay applicable fees, or if continued provision would harm the Service or others.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes) will survive.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party video platforms, open-source extractors (including yt-dlp), cloud infrastructure, and MCP client software. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their terms.
Links or references to third parties do not constitute endorsement. Platform APIs, HTML structures, or access methods may change without notice, which can affect Service functionality.
Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where required, we may provide additional notice by email or through the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
Disputes
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@vimcp.info and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith within a reasonable period.
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be resolved in courts or forums with jurisdiction under applicable law, except where mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
